About Us

About Telstar Middle School

Telstar Middle School is housed in the 6-12 Telstar complex in Bethel, ME. We have approximately 165 students grades 6-8. We have 18 teaching staff, 4 educational techs in special ed, and our office staff of three. We do share physical space and staff with the high school as well.

Each grade level team has 4 or 5 RAP Advisors who work with the students throughout the year as their educational advocate starting and ending their day in the same room with a group of peers around 10-15 students in total. The advisor is the point of contact for parents when there are questions or concerns.

For 2020-2021, students will have four 50 minute academic class periods, an RTI block with 50 minutes devoted to Academic Interventions, silent reading, and advisory activities. They also have a 25 minute lunch, and two 50 minute Unified Arts (UAs) classes which rotates between a Blue/White schedule each trimester.

On this website are some of our clubs and student activities, athletic teams, and information about life here at TMS.

Our goal is to make your child's educational experience as positive and fulfilling as possible.
