TMS Weekly Reminders
  1. We'll be back in the Telstar complex for regular classes on Monday--woohoo!

  2. Sports games start this week--coaches will communicate via TeamReach information about times and uniforms. Students not on a team cannot stay after school unless they are with a parent/supervising adult. Coaches cannot supervise students other than their own athletes. I will plan to offer some days when sports fans can stay to cheer our Rebels on--stay tuned!

  3. NorthStar (a mentoring program in partnership with UMaine, 4H and SAD44) activities are starting up! The calendar of events and details have also been posted to our website. We have Board Game Club for grades 6-8, Garden Club for 7th and 8th graders, and Art Club for 8th graders. Encourage your child to join the fun!

  4. Looking ahead--Our first Stars Assembly (student recognition and coming together) will be held on Monday, Sept. 30 at 11:40am. Parents/guardians are welcome to join us either in-person or remotely. I'll share more details as the date gets closer.

  5. Please visit our website for access to our calendar of events, notices and more: tms.sad44.org. We're also on Facebook! We post fun pictures and share all the great things our students and staff are doing. Like us!--TMS Rebels

After the excitement of last week (thank you for your remarkable attendance and positive attitudes!!), I'm a little relieved that this week is relatively routine. That being said, this will be our first full week of school. It's to be expected that students may feel tired as they continue to adjust to a full school day schedule. Limiting screen time after dinner and a bedtime between 8-9pm is a great way to help them get the rest they need to do their best the next day. We are settling into our routines and teachers have begun instruction along with some assessment. Students are expected and supported to use their class time to complete work. If they do not, they will need to finish it outside of class. Teachers will be in touch on Fridays if your child is behind with 3 or more missing assignments --we appreciate your partnership in helping our kids stay on track.

Respect. Accept. Persevere!
