TMS/THS March Lunch Menu
Recently, MSAD#44 had three educators honored at the Maine Environmental Education Association, MEEA conference. First was THS social studies and LEAP teacher D Johannesen for her work on integrating place based opportunities for her students on environmental projects. Then from TMS, 7th grade social studies teacher Heather O'Leary and visual arts teacher Melissa Prescott for their unit on the 3 Sisters Garden and Wabanaki studies unit for 7th graders. Recognized for their efforts as well as community collaborations to help our students learn more about their community and how their contributions even at a young age can make a difference.

I would like to invite you to join us this evening for the first portion of our two part process in approving the FY27 Budget for MSAD#44. Tonight is the public hearing in the Telstar Auditorium starting at 6:30pm. If you cannot come in person but would like to still be a part of the evening, you can watch on Western Hills Access Television's YouTube channel for the live broadcast. Tonight, the Finance Committee will present budget highlights, review the cost centers, answer questions and for those in attendance. Registered voters in Bethel, Greenwood, Newry or Woodstock will be asked to vote to approve the proposed budget for next year. If that passes, then all voters will get their chance to vote at the polls on Tuesday, June 9th. Thank you, Mark Kenney, Superintendent of Schools.

The Telstar Math Team drove to UMF today to compete in the regional high school math meet. They are a small but committed group who worked hard and well together! The unique make up of this team gives MSAD#44 a lot to be proud of. THS student Davon De Gruttola is the lone high school representative leading his younger teammates. TMS is represented by Henry Harrop, Mikayla Russell, Addison Lynch, and Sybil Lafaver. Coached and guided by THS Math teacher Dave Lynch, they are building the foundation for a competitive program for the future. Congratulations to you all!

School Zone Lights at Telstar Update:
Thank you for your patience as we are still experiencing technical difficulties at this time. I am trying to work with tech support in California to troubleshoot why they are not flashing. The school zone times when it is 15 mph are 7-8am and 2-3pm when school is in session. We appreciate the locals still adhering to the speed limit during that time and the OCSO for being present when possible.
