Happy Sunday, Rebel Families! 1. This week our Student Leadership group is promoting Spirit Week! We'd love to see everyone participate on at least a few of the days. 2. We will also be hosting our Stars Assembly this Friday at 11:40am. If attending in person, please enter through the MS office. You can also join us via Zoom: https://networkmaine.zoom.us/j/83605981587 3. Finally, as we head into this week before break, I would like to remind parents and students that our primary focus at school is on academic learning. We have noticed an uptick of distractions related to cellphones and Apple watches recently. Please note that we have a clear policy about this. If a student is texting, checking social media, using their device during the school day (other than as just a watch), they will be asked to put it in their locker. If the disruption becomes a pattern, they will be asked to leave it in the office for a parent to pick up. Please remind your kids of this and consider putting restrictions on their devices during the school day. Our teachers and I appreciate your support!

Oxford County is asking towns to collect private citizen primary home damage in our community. They are hoping that FEMA teams will review citizen damage at some point in the near future. If the county is able to present enough information on private citizen damage assessments the process will go as follows: meet with local officials regarding citizen damages in your community and visit homes with major damage in the most logical and expedient order, focusing on destroyed or major damage first. This would be to assess if we qualify for federal assistance for private citizens in Oxford County. This is a similar process to Public Assistance to provide federal assistance to your municipalities, but the damage thresholds are not as clear cut for private citizen assistance. These assessments and collection of this information does not guarantee assistance. We are encouraging all citizens with home owners insurance to make an insurance claim first to show that all other resources have been exhausted. **We need the following information:** 1. **Citizen Names** 2. **Citizen Primary Home Address where damage to home occurred** 3. **Citizen Contact Phone Number** 4. **Brief statement of damages at their home** 5. **Photographs of the damage incurred at homes are necessary for this assessment (please label with address or citizen name)** **Please Contact the Town of Bethel at 207-824-2669 or email the information to info@bethelmaine.org**
